Vic Mattila
"Photo Poetic"
June 13th - July 30th, 2010
Vic Mattila's interest in photography started when he was in Agra, India during WWII. He was stationed in the military there. He was sent a small camera that made two and a half inch photos and was inspired by the wonders of India to take many photos. After retirement he has been able to explore his interest more by taking classes at the Elsie Stuhr Center and travels with his wife. Vic Mattila's style is in capturing spontaneous moments of beauty. These discoveries happen as he studies nature at different moments of light.
